All other settings seem to work fine. I had to set "Digital" in the "alsamixer" command-line tool in order to get audible sound from my mic. In "alsamixer" there is no "mute" option (only the dB level), but in "xfce4-mixer" there is a "mute" button. You can observe this behaviour (so to say, live) in "alsamixer" when you change the level of "Digital" in "xfce4-mixer": You can set a single side (left or right) of "Digital" to zero and then turn it up again, it will update itself in "alsamixer". However, when both sides are at zero, the "mute" button in "xfce4-mixer" will enable itself. After that, turning up the level in "xfce4-mixer" as well as unmuting it won't change anything, rendering the sound system useless. Here is the output of 'lspci -nn | grep Audio': 00:05.0 Audio device [0403]: NVIDIA Corporation MCP61 High Definition Audio [10de:03f0] (rev a2) Is there anything else I can provide?
using the mixer on Arch Linux (64-bit), the output of 'xfce4-mixer --version': xfce4-mixer 4.10.0
Closing old bugs.
