ISSUE: When I right click on the desktop, the applications menu sometimes appears after about 10 seconds delay. Clicking Applications Menu on the panel works properly every time (even while waiting for the one from desktop right click to appear). SYSTEM: - Archlinux 64-bit - Fedora 17 64-bit - Fedora 18 64-bit ENVIRONMENT: LANG="pl_PL.UTF-8" (perhaps this causes the issue?) XFCE-SETTINGS: - no desktop icons - right click rises application menu - polish keyboard layout
I can confirm this issue for Xubuntu Precise 64-bit with Xfce 4.10 from the PPA. Right-click on the desktop to pop-up the menu is very, very slow. Although I do have icons in the menu, it shouldn't be that unbearably slow, especially since the App Menu on the panel is always very fast.
Created attachment 5008 On menu popup only check keyboard or mouse, not both Can you test out this patch and see if it helps? Thanks.
With 4.11.2, the right-click c-menu on desktop appears almost instantly. It seems to me that this particular issue was addressed.
Thank you for confirming this, closing bug report.
