1. In menu 'View->Location Selector' choose 'Toolbar Style' 2. Open second instance of Thunar 3. In first instance select any file in files pane 4. Click Ctrl-l (after that focus shifts to Location Selector and path to a directory with selected file is selected) 5. Click Ctrl-c to copy selection to clipboard 6. Go to second instance of Thunar 7. Click Ctrl-l 8. Click Ctrl-v Expected behaviour: path to a directory from first instance of Thunar should be copied to Location Selector of second instance of Thunar Actual behaviour: file selected in first instance of Thunar is copied to a current directory in second instance of Thunar Note: the second instance of Thunar is not really needed - the problem is that what copied to a clipboard is not a path in 'Location Selector' but a selected file: second instance is only used to visualize the point Rationale: when user selects text in 'Location Selector' for editing purposes he expects that the usual keyboard operations/shortcuts (like copy/paste) apply to the selected test (since, after all, other keyboard operations that change the text do apply to the text in 'Location Selector').
Still reproducible in thunar-1.6.6 and current git master.
