Created attachment 4873 false folder icons I've had Fedora with Thunar 1.6.2. The icons for folders is often false and shows the icon of a file witch is also in the current folder. If you go over the icon with the mouse it change to the correct one, but if the folder windows is redrawn (e.g. put it in the background and then back in the front again), the same thing happen. I could only find this behaviour with Thunar.
Created attachment 4885 Other forms of corruption I can confirm this bug, and also say that it extends further than the original author suggested, This bug generally effects folders, but can effect files (such as the right icon in my attachment). Files which are corrupt usually are much more obvious than folders, but happen less often. I can confirm hovering over an icon temporarily fixes the problem, and the bug only seems present in icon view. So mini icons of list view and such are uneffected. Folders with very few icons also do not seem to be effected, however I can't confirm if there is an exact science to the number of icons. Brief system info: Gentoo, using nvidia's proprietary drivers 310.19. Kernel 3.6.6.
The first issue (one reported by Felix) should be fixed in git master. Not sure about the second one - I have not seen it myself and I am not sure if it is related.
IIRC, the redraw problems were temporary, due to bugs with specific cairo versions (at least in gentoo). Should all be fixed now.
