I do not know if this is by design but I cannot perform a middle click on my machine since installing Xfce. Background: Most web browsers use the middle click for opening a link in a new background tab. I use this feature very often in Opera. Since using Xfce I cannot do that as it seems that middle click emulation is not active (and I found no setting to activate it). You have to know that I'm using a trackball mouse which does not have a clickable mouse wheel or a middle mouse button...
