Hello! first at all, I want to give you thanks for your efforts to bring us a nice desktop. I love XFCE. I have some suggestions for Xfce4 Screenshooter program. First, It will be interesting to "remember" the las "open with" aplication. I use gimp to edit the screenshot, and Xfce4 Screenshooter forces me to select Gimp over and over again instead remember the last application I have choose and select it as default. I think this little detail will improove the usability of Xfce4 Screenshooter a lot. Another suggestion is to force the Xfce4 Screenshooter window (after take a shot) to gain the focus and place on top of all windows. When I use Xfce4 Screenshooter, the main window appears under the others windows, then, I must to clic on the window button (in panel) to save or edit the screenshot. The two suggestion described will improove nicely the Xfce4 Screenshooter program. Thank you! ;)
Hello, Firstly: it is implemented and works out of the box on my Xfce 4.10 (Arch Linux). There is a rc file in ~/.config/xfce4/xfce4-screenshooter that contains an app entry, and this app entry is updated after each screenshot. You should check with your distributor if you don't have this file or if it doesn't get saved. Secondly: this is caused by your window manager's configuration. If not using xfwm, switch urgently! And if using xfwm, check your Window Manager Tweaks, tab 'Focus', and see if 'Activate focus steal prevention' is checked. It shouldn't if you want the screenshooter to appear on top. I suggest the bug is closed. Thanks,
gtk_window_set_keep_above should be useful, but this never bothered. If anyone has a nice motivation to set screenshot's dialogs as always on top, please open a new bug.
