As described in the title. When the network indicator has 2 out of 3 bars full, it turns the last bar from black to grey. The icon is also really small, so it's not easy to see which bars are grey and which are black at a quick glance. It would be cleaner to make the last bar disappear rather than turn grey.

Same applies for the volume control.
