Created attachment 4222 A patch for quilt. In the configuration dialog for the Verve plugin, the field "Width (in chars)" has a maxmimum of 100, which works out to a maximum width of 810 pixels. The plugin itself can handle more, and you can force it to hold more by editing its rc file in ~/.config/xfce4/panel. I propose raising the limit, possibly to 300, although it could be any large number. On my personal setup, I use a width of 155. A patch is attached to raise the limit to 300.
