Hi there. This is my first bug report, so I hope it will be done correctly. I have approached minor nuisance while changing the cursor theme. Additionally, I have found that people complained about the same problem in posts over a year ago. What I mean is - when one wants to change the cursor theme and extracts it to ~/.icons, then chooses the right theme from the mouse settings menu, the theme is adopted only partially - e.g. when selecting a text. The cursor falls back to the default black when one is pointing to the desktop. The workaround for that is creation of ~/.icons/default/index.theme with the following content: [Icon Theme] Inherits=CursorTheme Only after that and reloading xfce, the cursor starts behaving the way it should. Is it possible that the mouse settings would take care of this stuff, so the user does not have to manually tweak the options?
