I upgraded from version 4.0.2 to 4.0.3 After doing so, my custom keys (like pressing Alt+F1 for a terminal) no longer work.
No, sir, nothing has changed. Please check your install. Cheers, Olivier.
It seems to be related to problem I have since upgrading from 4.0.0. I have my custom keys in ~/.themes/xfwm4/simas.keys . But these don't appear in Keyboard settings menu, the only workaround is to define in ~/.xfwm4/settings/xfwm4.xml my custom theme (simas.keys). Then my key bindings starts to work again, and it shows entry in keyboard settings.. Until it is changed to something else (Default keys).
does this problem still occur with xfce 4.0.4? (or, if it's released by the time you get back here, 4.0.5)
can this be closed?
No idea. I fixed it by setting the global settings in /usr/share/xfwm4/... (using gentoo linux). Anyone else knows something about this?
Hmm, i guess wheter three of my xfce installations went wrong or gentoo's ebuild has a bug. It seems that no files in my homedir are used (autostart does not work, my keys don't seem to work). I tried to look at bugs.gentoo.org, but unfortunately it seems that gentoo.org seems to have some trouble :( I will add a note later if the site is back up.
Can be closed, it's definitly invalid.
Closing. egore911, thanks for checking.
