I'm encountering the same problem.  Using Fedora 15 (currently in alpha).

There's a reasonable backtrace below.  Reading line #4 makes me think the problem is caused by libhal or ThunarVFS.  But since these dependencies are both deprecated, IMO it makes sense to fix bug #6663.  Then this issue would be worked around for free.
