If you uncheck the "Prompt on logout", under "logout settings" in "session and starting" (xfce4-session-settings), when you click on the logout button, the session ends and you come back to tty1 (or to Slim, GDM, xdm, etc ...) whithout any ask if you want to shutdown, restart computer, or cancel. It works normally when the box is checked. (N.B. : Sorry for the translation, I'm using the french one)
In fact, it is'nt calling "xfce4-session-logout", just logout.

Well that's the whole point of the checkbox. I'm a bit confused, if you want the prompt, just check the checkbox?
So it maybe a bug in the french translation... It isn't very clear. Maybe french team can write "Afficher la fenêtre de deconnexion" (Show the logout window)

Marking the bug as such and reopening. A better translation would be something like « Demander confirmation à la déconnexion » but the confirmation window is now a bit more than that so maybe something like « Choisir l'action à la deconnexion » would do? Not sure if there's a way to contact (only) french translators and ask for advice.

Fixes in branches master and xfce-4.8 with: Afficher la boîte de _dialogue lors de la déconnexion The length of this message matches good against both messages above. Kind Regards Mike
