Earlier I used the Verve plugin placed inside the small separate panel that was set up to auto-hide. This way, it wouldn't take any screen space, and I could bring it on screen with the shortcut bound to verve-focus and then type the command. After upgrading to 4.8 this no longer works. On verve-focus execution the plugin receives focus and can accept commands, but the panel isn't made visible *until* the command is entered (that is, Enter is pressed). This makes Verve pretty much unusable in this setup. This happens with both 0.3.6 and 1.0 versions.
Moreover, the panel stay visible and doesn't auto-hide itself after the command has been executed. The only way to hide it is to call verve-focus again, either on a terminal or with a keyboard shortcut.
Commenting so I receive email updates for this bug. (I couldn't readily see another way of registering for emails - my apologies to those already on the list)
