Basically I like the Bluecurve icon theme. If I choose it, it works correctly, all the icons come from Bluecurve. However, I'd prefer to override some icons of Bluecurve. Hence I've created an icon theme called UHU which inherits Bluecurve, and contains only a very few icons where I'd like to override Bluecurve. This works perfectly in Gnome and in KDE. In Xfce, I can choose the UHU theme, it is there in the list, however, the desktop doesn't become Bluecurvish, it uses the default Xfce iconset. So it seems that the "Inherits" feature of icon themes is not working.

hmm, worked fine last time i checked. where are the bluecurve and uhu themes located?
Both are under /usr/share/icons. I have no /usr/local/share/icons or similar directory, and Xfce is tested with a clean brand new user account, so no ~/.icons exists either.
