xfdesktop contains translations of menu.xml in many languages. Many of them, including the Hungarian, are quite outdated, they still reflect the 4.0 version. Taking a look at it, it seems to me that all these files could be updated with a simple script without the help of translators all around the world, since no (or hardly any) translateable string was changed, only icons were inserted, examples updated etc... As a result, when I first started Xfce 4.2 in Hungarian, I was disappointed as I had a menu which didn't have any icons and hence didn't bring what I expected from the new Xfce. And to my biggest surprise when I entered the Menu editor and then quit it, suddenly my menu changed completely so that it became English and then it had nice icons. I think it is important that foreing speaking people see this nicer menu for the first time, even if translators couldn't catch up with their jobs.
that's a good point - i should have removed the files that hadn't been updated. as for the script... wanna write it? ^_^ if i don't have time, i'll remove them for 4.2.1.
I'm going to close this - I've removed the old .xml files from the release. If people want to translate the new menu.xml file, they can feel free.
