humm, overlapping monitors... didn't think of that... What a broken setup you have :)
Well, it is 12" laptop with 24" external screen when docked. Obviously you are not the only one who didn't think of such a setup. xfdesktop has some problems too: http://cwickert.fedorapeople.org/screenshots/xfce/xfdesktop-two-screens.png
