Hey, I had a report I just tried to reproduce (in Thunar 1.1.4). When in icon view (more exactly, when changed to icon view in a session, it seems), one can't paste using ctrl-V. Edit/Paste menu works fine, but Ctrl-V doesn't. How to reproduce: * close any thunar window (don't have to quit the whole session) * open a thunar window * switch to detailed list view * close the thunar window * open the thunar window * check you can copy/paste using ctrl-c/ctrl-v * switch to icon view * check you can copy using ctrl-c but not paste using ctrl-v * check you can paste using Edit/Paste
I cannot reproduce this here. Can you always reproduce this?
(In reply to comment #1) > I cannot reproduce this here. Can you always reproduce this? Yes. The key point is to *switch* to icon view in a Thunar window, then Ctrl-V is broken there.
I still cannot reproduce this problem.
I report a very similar problem, only I never use icon view - I only use detail list view. In my case it is consistently reproducable. I am using xfce 4.8, thunar v 1.2.1 in debian unstable scenario #1 =========== Open Thunar (view is detailed list) Select one or more file. Ctrl-C Select a folder and change the view to that folder Ctrl-V --nothing happens menu > edit > paste -- does work context menu (right click) > paste -- does work scenario #2 =========== Open two instances of Thunar (view is detailed list) Select one or more file. Ctrl-C Change focus to other instance of Thunar Ctrl-V --nothing happens menu > edit > paste -- does work context menu (right click) > paste -- does work
Thunar 1.3.0, Fedora 16. Open two instances of Thunar (view is detailed list) Select one or more file. Ctrl-C Change focus to other instance of Thunar ! press ctrl+1/ctrl+2/ctrl+3, in other words change view from any to any Ctrl-V --nothing happens menu > edit > paste -- does work context menu (right click) > paste -- does work
And yeah, another bug with ctrl+v, which looks similar to this one: * open a Thunar window * make ctrl+C at any file * open another Thunar window * enter any folder (to not get a «copy-of-…») * press ctrl+V * nothing happens
IIRC this was resolved during 4.10.
(In reply to comment #7) > IIRC this was resolved during 4.10. False. Fedora 16, xfce 4.10 — bug still presented.
Works fine in 1.5.x
(In reply to comment #9) > Works fine in 1.5.x 1.5.2 builded. Bug is still presented.
