Slackware Linux 13 (current), XFCE, keyboard layouts: us, serbian, serbian (latin). Swiching policy is global, keyboard shortcut is Alt+Shift. Used on laptop that often goes to standby.

Everything works OK until switcher disappears from menu (on random Alt+Shift event). After that, switching (by Alt+Shift) still works (even if I need few more Alt+Shift events to change layout) but there is no indication on menu. If I add it again, layouts are lost.

Gets reproduced on Gentoo with 0.5.3.3-r1
Evdev-managed-keyboard
Xkb-plugin is configured with two layouts en and ru, switched by two shifts
After a resume from suspend an attempt to switch layout by pressing two shifts makes xkb-plugin disappear from the panel
Are there any workarounds yet?

Reproduced with xubuntu-desktop (installed on Ubuntu 10.04). Keyboard layout (Xfce4-xkb-plugin) was configured with two languages Layouts (En/Lt) and disappear randomly.

Hi,

I experienced the same problem whenever I log into XFCE choosing a different language.
I normally work in English and when I decide to swap languages during log in the XKB_PLUGIN are gone.

Hope this can help narrowing down the problem.

Keep up with the great work

Xubuntu 12.04
XFCE 4.8

This should be fixed in 0.5.5; please reopen or open a new bug if you still see this.
