When copying, moving, deleting etc, the progress dialogs should display their completion percentage in their title bar, so the progress can be easily monitored via the button in the task list.
Good idea for individual progress dialogs. However, we're moving towards a shared progress dialog (one dialog including the progress of all operations) in Thunar, and this can't be implemented there for obvious reasons. I'm still leaving this open as a reminder to add percentage information to the notification area icon tooltip though.
Can that dialog not display the overall progress of all operations in its title? I'm a bit tired to be thinking of math at the moment but I think it'd just be the average of their percentages. Firefox's download window does this (34% of 3 files). If you keep individual dialogs and display the progress in the title, then your taskbar serves as a nice compact display of them all. Something to think about. My philosophy with changes like that is to have a configuration option to keep the old style, but that's not always feasible.
