Hello, I'm filing this bug because I think a more explicit name of Mousepad's menu entry would help new XFCE users to identify each application's role. If Mousepad had a menu entry named "Mousepad Text Editor" for instance, users could know what it is for without having to open it and checkout by themselves.
The latest version uses the accessories-text-editor icon and a comment "Simple Text Editor", I think this resolves the issue.
