In some cases, the note window "panel" will auto-hide in some cases even when the mouse is hovering on top of it. This can make navigating notes very frustrating.
I noticed this bug. The problem is that when you emit a click on a GtkButton it also emits a leave signal which is used to automatically hide the navigation bar. I don't have an idea what to do for it currently.
Btw, can you make it more clear what you find annoying with auto-hide, it's a nice feature. What is the problem with it? Is it like what I said in comment #2? When the mouse pointer is over the window, the timeout is definitely long enough until it hides again (it hides more fast when the mouse pointer is outside the window). Plus there is still Ctrl+Page_UP/DOWN to navigate.
In addition to this bug which is extremely annoying, the entire new layout is annoying. Please put the navigation tabs for the notes back on the left. At least make it an option for those of us that want it. Clicking through using that bottom bar is a huge pain in the ass when there is a lot of notes. It's almost impossible to navigate through the notes now
The tabs option is already back in the development branch. I have understood you, and have fixed + am looking to make the plugin better of course.
Thank you so much for re-adding the tabs option, and the hovering issue. XFCE notes is better than ever.
As of lack of information I'm closing this bug. If you think the behavior of the navigation bar should be changed feel free to reopen.
