It would be useful if in the "window manager preferences" plugin from the settings manager you denoted whether you are able to edit the default theme or not. E.g. instead of hitting enter and having it do nothing you might pop up a dialog that said "Unable to edit this keytheme. Try copying /usr/share/themes/Default/xfwm4/keythemerc to .themes/Custom/xfwm4/ or some such and then editing the Custom theme". Ok the last part depends where you installed but would be possible to implement. Also having some sort of icon next to the theme or some way of graphically knowing if you can edit it or not would be useful. I realise this is probably too late for xfce4 4.2. Sorry :(
This is for JF as he wrote and maintains the keyboard setting.
i don't know if it's necessary, currently the 2 treeviews are disabled when selecting the Default theme (even if you are root) if you want to create a new theme you don't need to copy the file yourself, you can use the popup menu and add a new theme, it'll copy the default theme file automaticly
Oh ok. Perhaps you could make that more obvious some how. I entirely missed that.
i added a "add" and "remove" button
