I recently upgraded to xfce4-power-manager 0.8.0beta2 from 0.6.5 and am very sad to see that that when I unplug the AC, powersave property doesn't change. Current PowerSave status can be displayed by executing "hal-get-property --udi /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer --key power_management.is_powersave_set". When unplugged, the output of the command is not changed. With xfce4-power-manager 0.6.5, no problem at all. The powersave property is changed correctly. Please restore this function very useful for ex. set the laptop_mode of the system, the harddisk standby delay, etc. using HAL. Thanks a lot !
