I upgraded to the recent Xfce 4.6.1-1 on two Debian Sid systems and recognised the same error on both systems. On top of the logout screen is a line: <span-size='large'><b>User abmelden</b></span> Hopefully this could be fixed easily. Thanks for Xfce! Goodbye!

Works fine here... probably a problem with i18n. What locale are you using?
That's de_DE (German), happens here too while en_US works fine.
See http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5279 , a translation patch has already been sent to the translations list a few days ago.
Is there a way to immediately fix it or do i have to wait for the next minor bugfix release?
Take po/de.po from the xfce4-session source, either from your distro or from the 4.6 branch in svn[1]. Edit the po file, fix the message and use msgfmt to compile it[2] and move it to $prefix/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/[3].
