Created attachment 2298 Patch to supposedly fix the plugin with not CAPA capable pop3 servers Hi, a debian user reported that mailwatch plugin didn't work with POP3 not CAPA capable. I don't really know what it is, but it seems it should work :) The user posted a patch which seem to fix the problem but I can't comment on it, so I thought I would ask you :) Patch is attached (not really good looking but one can see the point at least :) ) Cheersm
No, that's wrong. If bin < 0, then there was a socket error. I'm not sure I'm really interested in "fixing" this. CAPA is specified in an RFC that's over 10 years old now.
Hi, This is actually my patch. Believe it or not there are pop3 servers that respond with -ERR to CAPA command. This results in bin < 0. What I am proposing is to do simple fall-back if mailwatch can not recognize if server supports CRAM-MD5. I think this is better then to ignore the problem. The patch works for me, but fill free to make it more beautiful. Regards, Andrzej
