Since I upgraded my system with GTK+2.16, the mixer plugin doesn't show entirely instead the most right border is hidden.

I attach a patch which sets the size request to -1.

fix gtk2.16 quirks

New attachment which fixes another problem for GTK+2.16, the GtkAdjustment in the XfceVolumeButton has a page size which must be 0 from now on.

Ftr, otherwise the volume doesn't go over 90%.

I confirm the same problem on a Thinkpad T61 with xubuntu 9.04.  The volume can only go up to 90% if I scroll mouse wheel over the icon.  But it can be increased to 100% if I bring up the mixer window.
