Looks like a translation bug. Did you try to contact the xfce-i18n ML or the responsible translator?
Created attachment 2097 Screenshot of 0.1.2 (ja) (In reply to comment #2) > Looks like a translation bug. Did you try to contact the xfce-i18n ML or the > responsible translator? Hmm...Who is the translator...it's me! :D Dumb joking aside, this is not a translation bug. Because the media-tags-plugin-0.1.2 displays the combobox correctly (attached screenshot of 0.1.2) and the media-tags-plugin-trunk with 0.1.2's pofile still has this issue.
I experience the same bug here with da_DK locale. I have tried with en_GB, fr_FR, sv_SE, and de_DE, and experience it as well with all of those. In fact, of those locales I have tried to run thunar -B under, only the default C locale does not cause this bug. And this is with the latest 7cdd051 revision.
Created attachment 4010 dont-use-empty-string-as-separator.patch This bug is in the 0.2.0 release still. It is because of an empty string as separator. See http://www.gnu.org/s/hello/manual/gettext/MO-Files.html, the empty string translated into system information. Simple patch as attached, just replacing the empty string with a space.
This still happens in Xubuntu 14.04, and ca Locale. It happens in every locale I've tried but not in English.
Andre Miranda referenced this bugreport in commit 3b5071547564527822ee95ebe27b1a25be3ac0ba Do not use empty string as separator (Bug #4822) https://git.xfce.org/thunar-plugins/thunar-media-tags-plugin/commit?id=3b5071547564527822ee95ebe27b1a25be3ac0ba
Thanks Mikhail for the patch and sorry for the long time it took to fix this.
