This just catches the glade files. I'm not *sure* you guys want the periods at the end of sentences; in some places, they improve the look IMHO, but in others, I'm not so sure. There's one string about the "acceleration ramp" that I don't much like, but I also don't really know how to make it clearer, so I left it as is...

Hehe, ok, I should have done the style guide *before* asking for help. In general, no periods in tooltips, unless there's actually more than one sentence. Though in those cases I'd look for ways to shorten it to one sentence, either by adding a conjunction and comma-izing it, or semi-colon-ing the hell out of it.
Acceleration ramp (which was added by me) is indeed a bad description. Better tooltip might be: Acceleration profile to reach the maximum pointer speed.
... except that "profile" is still a pretty awful word to use there. I still have very little idea what the setting is supposed to do based on the text.
Well other words that can be used are slope/gradient/grade of the acceleration curve.
Created attachment 1953 Better patch with (most) style concerns addressed Periods removed :) Most pronoun usage is gone, although I'm not entirely certain of how to word the remainder of the strings with them. Still not change to the ramp thing.
Sweet, checked in with a few changes here and there. I did the rest of the xfce4-settings package while I was there.
Oh, there's still the issue of that mouse emulation "ramp acceleration" string... I wasn't sure what to do with it cuz I still don't really understand what the option does.
