Backtrace of crash while extracting tar.gz

Xarchiver 0.5.0. rc1 crashes very often. This backtrace was generated from a
crash that occurred while trying to extract a tar.gz. The file I tried to extract is https://belug.de/~beldi/releases/beldi-0.9.22.tgz

No crash when extracting the same archive with revision 27962. Bug marked as invalid.
Comment 2 Christoph Wickert editbugs 2008-10-29 11:04:41 CET
I can confirm that it's fixed in 0.5.0svn-r27962 but I cant test with latest r28502 because it is crashing all the time, see bug # 4533.

Sorry to say that, but marking this bug INVALID seems a little arrogant to me. Why do you have a rc1, if you are not accepting any (more) bugs for it? The correct resolution would have been RESOLVED FIXED or CLOSED WORKSFORME, but marking a bug report invalid means "The problem described is not a bug".
Comment 3 Giuseppe Torelli 2008-10-29 11:10:39 CET
Christoph, I'm accepting bugs for rc1, the problem is that I forgot to ask Brian to add such release in the bugzilla page. Sorry If I hurted your feelings, next time I will use RESOLVED FIXED or CLOSED WORKSFORME as you suggested. It's frustrating though to receive a bug notify while you can't reproduce it on your system. Please can you try the same sources with the same archive on another distribution and tell me the outcome?

Thank you for your time,
Giuseppe
