Hi, I've xfce 4.2 running on a XTerminal. And when I try to start for example xfce-mcs-manager, I get: Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display "kartoffel:1.0". The program 'xfce-mcs-manager' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'XF86VidModeClientNotLocal'. (Details: serial 120 error_code 135 request_code 134 minor_code 14) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) That also happens with xfce4-setup-show and other programs. How to reproduce? Just start a "X -ac -query host2 :1" on host1, and a configured xdm on host2.... and try to start for example the setup. Removing the library makes the programs working again.
Would it be useful to have a 'Default' resolution option in the display plugin that simply does nothing? It would help with people using a virtual screensize as well.
Ehm, What to do with this bugreport? I certainly can't reproduce it...
