User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080208 Fedora/2.0.0.12-1.fc7 Firefox/2.0.0.12 Build Identifier: I'm running "Thunar 0.9.0" on fedora 7. %> rpm -q --whatprovides `which thunar ` Thunar-0.9.0-2.fc7 %> cat /etc/redhat-release Fedora release 7 (Moonshine) When i try to to drop a file from thunar or the desktop into a folder on the desktop itself, i get a blank file dialog, as you can see in the screenshot. When i try to drop a file from thunar into a folder in thunar, I get a nice dialog box prompting me with a text warning that i'll be overwriting something in the directory, etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create a new directory on the desktop 2. create a new file on the desktop 3. copy that file into the folder on the desktop 4. copy that file again into the same folder on the desktop 5. see the blank dialog box Actual Results: blank dialog box Expected Results: useful dialog box like the one produced when copy from thunar to thunar well, i can't see how to attach a file, so hopefully i'll be able too on the next screen... if not, just realize that the dialog box is completely missing any text. it has the warning icon and the 4 buttons (cancel, yes, yes to all, no), but no text.
Created attachment 1572 blank dialog box when overwriting on desktop
Fixed with xfdesktop 4.8.x (and thunar 1.2.x).
