User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070601 SeaMonkey/1.1.2 Build Identifier: I use xfce 4.4.1 with HAL. And i have one external USB-HDD with an LVM infra-structure inside (eight PVs with 10GB each one). When i plug that Harddrive, all eight partitions are in my desktop!!! This is terrible annoying. Talking with HAL developers, they said the only devices that need to be show in desktop are the one with volume.fsusage=filesystem. The LVM PVs have volume.fsusage=raid. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create some PVs in one USB pendrive or harddrive 2. Plug the pendrive/harddrive to your machine again Actual Results: 1. Look all PVs created at Desktop and in Thunar Expected Results: 1. Nothing. By now, Hal don't know LVM devices and doesn't send any signal about they, because that, nothing need to be show in desktop and Thunar I tested with many machines running Slackware 12.0. The problem persists.
