Several days ago, an update of my subversion release of XFCE resulted in an improper desktop menu. It apparently doesn't read my default XML menu file and "fakes up" a menu that doesn't function well: it puts some of the default icons in the menu, out of order, and doesn't expand .desktop variables like %u.

I first thought perhaps it was an error in syntax or something had changed requiring me to regenerate my menu, so I created a new user account on my computer with no .config or .cache directory. I got the same erroneous menu for that user as well.

Attached is a screenshot of this incorrect menu. I also get this menu from the panel-plugin, not just from the desktop.

Most recent subversion build was this morning, Thu Mar 1 12:45:44 2007.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch xfce running xfdesktop
2. Right click on the backdrop to call the desktop menu.

Actual Results:
An incorrect menu appears.

Expected Results:
The menu defined in the default XML file in .config directory should appear.

Gentoo Linux
Kernel 2.6.19-r5
gcc 3.4.6-r2
Glib 2.12.9

The menu system is being replaced. Expect things to be broken for a while.

Okay, that's what I figured, but I wanted to make sure you were aware, just in case. Thanks.
