I use this command to launch mozilla-thunderbird to check my mails. Yet once the icon remains gold. I would like it to change color back to grey whenever I click on it. The idea behind it is that when you click the icon to execute the command, it's most likely that you will do that to check your mail, so the color of the icon can turn back to grey. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. click on the golden mailwatch icon in the panel 2. launches Thunderbird (I set that in the options) 3. I check my mails Actual Results: Thunderbird launches, I can check my mails but the mailwatch button on the panel remains gold. Expected Results: thunfderbird launches, I can check my mails and the mailwatch button turns back to grey.
That's horribly broken behavior.

The latter. It confuses the meaning of "unread mail". Clicking on the icon button does not change that you have unread mail. And who says everyone will always read *all* of their mail when they see that they have new mail? Not to mention multiple mailboxes. I have my mailwatch plugin watching 2 IMAP servers and 2 GMail accounts. The 2 GMail accounts are low priority to me, so I may not check them even if I have new mail in all my accounts. So clicking on the icon will just make it change back to grey, and then after it goes and checks my mail again, it'll turn back to orange. That just makes no sense. If you really want to force it to change back, after you finish reading your mail, middle-click the icon to force it to check for new mail again. Assuming you actually read all your mail, it'll come up empty and change back.
I get your point and agree it would have no sense to let it turn back grey only to see it turn back gold at the next check. As a matter of fact I do middle-click the icon after I checked the mail in thunderbird. Thank you for your answer, thank you for your app., Max.
