I.e. it's very hard. If I change the toolbar to "toolbar style", the completion there is ok. If I type "/u", then "/usr" is written but highlighted so when I type the "s", it just does nothing. I'd like to have the same completion style in the open dialog and in the toolbar. Reproducible: Always
That's the same widget, ThunarPathEntry. Dunno why that should work differently. The only odd thing I noticed with the open location dialog is that focus handling is broken.
If I turn off the "Prevent empty clipboard" tick from the clipboard manager of Xfce, the problem is gone. Quite interesting. :)
Hm, never used the clipboard manager. AFAIK the manager follows some clipboard manager spec also implemented by GTK+. Maybe a bug in GtkEntry, maybe a bug in the clipboard manager. As far as Thunar is concerned, that is exactly the same widget.
