User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; ru; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20061206 Firefox/1.5.0.9 Build Identifier: If a file type (mime type) is known to Thunar, extensions of filenames of this type are not shown, and there is no apparent way to have them shown. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Thunar in directory that contains .jpg or .html files, e.g. 'picture.jpg' 2. See how filename is shown as just 'picture'. 3. Try (in vain) to find a setting that makes them look as 'pictire.jpg' again. Have a setting (in the menu, config dialog, or just config file) to switch 'hide known extensions' behaviour on and off.
Err, whatever file manager you're using, it's not Thunar, because Thunar was never able to hide the extensions, nor will it ever be able to, simply because there's no way to figure out, what exactly makes up the extension (and because I don't like hiding parts of the filename).
