User-Agent: Opera/9.01 (X11; Linux i686; U; de) Build Identifier: after some cautious moves on my right, main display cursor jumps to the left display and does not return to the right screen but jumps from the right end of the left screen to the left end of the left screen. Deactivating the mouse emulation made the cursor unusable for xinerama as it jumped from the very right side to the left edge od the right display and stayed in the right display, changing the workspace reenabled correct mouse behaviour, was not reproducible. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. enable mouse emulation, locate cursor on right display 2. keep '4' on num pad pressed 3. cursor suddenly jumps to left display 4. changing a little to right and/or left makes cursor stay on left edge and only be movable vertically 5. it is possible, that the left display is then shifted for approx. 20 pixels on a 1280 resolution to the right when hitting the left border. Actual Results: move the mouse normally over the right border of the left display, the shifting disappears, and perhaps everything works normally, perhaps the work space needs to be changed... Expected Results: thank go... ehem, olivier, that I could continue using the desktop environment. expected worse ;) it should have moved my cursor properly when using the num pad keys to steer it
That really sounds like a bug in Xorg. xfwm4 has nothing to do with mouse emulation.

Not sure I understand your question, but it means for that I don't see much I can do about this problem at the window manager level. You may post on Xorg ML to ask if that's a known problem. OR I may do it. But since you havethe hardware and can reproduce the problem, it would be more effective if you could report that. I'm subscribed to xorg@lists.freedesktop.org so I'd be able to follow the problem too. I have no problem keeping that bug report on stand by while you investigate the problem on the Xorg side.
Closing old bugs.
