I cannot reproduce that (and I fail to understand how this could be). What kind of hw do you have? Intel multicore maybe? If so, what kernel version do you run?

No, actually I have K6-2, Radeon VE/7000 and the kernel is 2.6.19. I thought that 4.4RC2 is the last. Never mind, I'll try the SVN version.
I tried to compile not the whole environment, just xfwm (4.3.99.3) from the link you gave me, but no luck, it's all the same. May be my hardware is just too old.

Yes, it's all right now, thank you very much! Indeed, xfwm is the only compositing window manager that works for me. Metacity is super slow and compiz blocks my computer. Thank you for doing this!
