User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20060601 Firefox/2.0 (Ubuntu-edgy) Build Identifier: Opening a text file from the desktop opens in an unfocused Mousepad window. Opening the same file with 'scite' works correctly... I have also filed a similar bug against Thunar, you can read up on it here: http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2674 Thanks! Reproducible: Always
This is really not a bug with mousepad but rather with xfdesktop/Thunar.

Closing as invalid
Scite: gets focus when opening a .txt document from Thunar/Xfdekstop Mousepad: doesn't get focus when opening a .txt document from Thunar/Xfdekstop The only different ingredient is Mousepad, so it probably doesn't set the correct timestamp to it's GTK window... (?) If there IS something invalid about this bug report, please say WHAT is invalid before closing the bug...
Honestly Harold? Because the author of Xfwm4 (Olivier) which determines whether or not a newly mapped window gets focus says it's a bug in xfdesktop/thunar. And until a minute ago I haven't been able to replicate it. But now I can - your bug report didn't mention that you had turned on focus stealing prevention in the WM tweaks. I'm reopening this bug, but don't expect action on it for a while.
Tested with Mousepad 0.3.0 and 'focus stealing prevention' turned on, this bug can't be reproduced. Please check.
Closing as fixed since it can't be reproduced with lastest version, which is a total re-write of version this bug is about, and which is no longer maintained or supported. Please feel free to re-open and update the version on this bug or make a new report if you experience it still in latest version.
