After doing "Empty Trash" action on xfdesktop Trash context menu, the trash icon remains as "full". After restarting xfdesktop, the icon is correct

when the trash is full before you enable the desktop icons, the trash icon on the desktop starts empty.
on enabling the desktop icons, you should check the current trash status.

Should be fixed now as well.
