such as thunar does for the "detailed list" view. if possible (perhaps talk to benny), show mimetype icons for the files in the archive too. don't know if this is possible, as you would have to check the mimetype for every file in the archive without having them extracted first.
This would be a big plus to this program. It is *very* hard to use Xarchiver in its current state of listing files. I have tars and zips with hundreds of files in numerous directories. It is almost impossible to find files.
Have you tried the type ahead facility ?
Type ahead is useless when there are multiple files in different folders for that name. I've tried hitting F3 or something to go onto the next file but that doesn't do anything. Typically it is expected of an Archive Manager to represent an archive like a file manager would instead of a huge list of files.
i don't know why but it seems i have been blind...... a thunar-like file structure (folders are really folders, mimetype icons, etc) would be nice, tho.
