i think xarchiver needs to save the options specified in the add and extract dialog in a configuration file, so you don't have to select "don't add paths" and such things everytime you add a file, but keep the settings you last used.

i suggest to save the file to ~/.config/Xarchiver/xarchiverrc since xfce, Terminal and Thunar for example use this way too.
