Currently, when cycling windows, xfwm4 shows the popup box with window icons and the border of the window it will switch to.

When running with a compositor, I suggest that it shows a transparent image of the window it will switch to. It should also allow for deactivating the popup window in this case.

That's an idea, however that would not work very well with cycling thru windows fromm all workspaces.

But definitely an idea to experiment for xfce 4.6
