With FOX toolkit applications (e.g. xfwrite editor of xfe file manager or Adie from FOX toolkit), the clipboard content is not retained when the application exits. I use XFCE 4.14 in Ubuntu 20.04. To reproduce: 1. Install xfe (FOX toolkit file manager) sudo apt install xfe 2. Be sure that clipman is running 3. Launch xfwrite (the xfe text editor), then copy some text in the edit window and copy that text to the clipboard. The XFCE clipman plugin shows that the text has been copied to the clipboard. 4. Exit xfwrite and launch it again. Try to paste the text (using the paste menu or Ctrl-V): nothing happens. No text is pasted to the edit window. 5. Doing the same operations with mousepad or geany works as expected. I tried with Adie, the FOX toolkit editor and the same problems happens. Important: FOX applications work well with other clipboard managers like xclipboard, parcellite, clipit, ... So my guess is the problem comes from clipman.
