Created attachment 9663 patch for xfdesktop As mentioned bug 10694, we should add keywords to .desktop files to improve search in whisker menu.
Same arguments as for Bug#16618 (unexpected search results)... I would go for the following: desktop;settings;preferences;configuration;background;wallpaper;
... if you have multiple of these bugs open, it would be nice to link them all in a comment on each bug

Would it match only stuff which has "desktop" and "color", than it would be ok for me. To be checked if it would be better to have "desktop color" as single keyword in that case, to e.g. dont get unexpected results. If somebody is seraching for only "font", IMO desktop-settings should not be shown.

Open up whisker menu today and type just 'a' and nearly everything is listed, and as show in bug 16628 the search functionality definitely needs improvement, IMO. But we cant forget that these keywords are to improve both whisker menu and settings manager (bug 10694) and if i searched for 'font' in settings manager, having desktop appear is important IMO.
