When you delete something using Shift+Del, the "Are you sure..." prompt comes up. If you don't react within 30s, a timeout error is being displayed. Instead of being closed, the "Are you sure..." prompt is invisible afterwards and can only be restored by Alt-Tab. Not sure if this is intended - IMHO it should be closed. Or the timeout error shouldn't come up at all and the prompt should just stay there.
Thanks for reporting! Though I cannot reproduce this bug .. starring on the dialog since minutes, but for me nothing happens, no timeout error is displayed. Could you maybe add a screenshot of the error ?
Steps to reproduce: 1. Boot into xubuntu-19.10-desktop-amd64.iso on your PC or in a VM. (18.04 LTS works as well) 2. Create a file on the desktop, like 'Plain Text.txt' 3. Hit Shift+Delete 4. Wait for 30 seconds until the timeout error appears.

You should have mentioned that this only happens on the desktop. The bug was fixed again in xfdesktop 4.14.2 (bug 11283).
Sorry for that, I wasn't aware that this is related to xfdesktop. I should have tested it with Xubuntu Fossa, where 4.14.2 has already landed.
