When a removable volume is connected, an icon (for mounting, umounting, ...) appears on the desktop. The icon is hidden when there is a matching entry in /etc fstab. For me, it useful to have the icons for those volumes where the fstab entry allows mounting by the user. To clarify, I wouldn't want icons for all fstab entries with "user", only the connected ones. Just skip the hiding, don't do anything additional. Probably, not all users wold like that, so it should be optional.
Thanks for the request, would be fine for me. > Probably, not all users wold like that, so it should be optional. IMO should be a hidden setting: https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/hidden-settings I dont have time to work on it, though patches would be welcome !
A hidden setting would be fine for me.
