locking screen while going to sleep is configured in 2 places: 1. xfce power manager - security: "light locker : ... lock screen when system is going to sleep " 2. session and startup - advanced - shutdown: lock screen before sleep and these 2 check marks are not automatically synchronised. Package: xfce4-session Version: 4.12.1-6 Package: xfce4-power-manager Version: 1.6.1-1 debian 10
From the changelog: - The existing "Lock screen when system is going for sleep" is relocated to the Security tab, under the other light-locker configuration. I can confirm that the setting is not synchronized in this case, but otherwise is (when light-locker is not installed).
@Theo, xfce4-screensaver also has a "Lock screen with system sleep" which isn't synchronized with "session and startup" -> "Lock screen before sleep".
