(Note: Alt here refers to whatever 'Key used to grab and move windows' is set to) alt+middle_click as of right now sends the current window to the back of the stack, however I would like to use this as a shortcut in my text editor so I would appreciate the option to disable this functionality. I believe the code pertaining to this mouse event (at time of writing) is at https://git.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/tree/src/events.c#n933
You can disable the user of the Alt key in xfwm4-tweaks-settings
I know that the Alt key may be disabled like this, but that would prevent me from alt+right_click resizing windows which is a must-have. I could of course use the Super key or something weird for dragging windows instead, I would just rather keep my experience more consistent with a usual Linux desktop - I feel as if alt+middle_click is a relatively unknown hotkey so for it to interfere with my hotkeys is a bother. I had hoped there would be a checkbox in xfwm4-tweaks-settings in the Accessibility tab to disable this as most things in XFCE are configurable. Thanks for your time - XFCE has been my favourite DE ever since I started using it :)
