While trying to open Android smartphone storage, I noticed that only CD-ROM class device "HiSuite" presents in Places plugin menu, also called "File-CD Gadget", which has some windows software (probably drivers) to be installed. Besides that Thunar showes additional item LLD L31, which has two directories - one for system storage, another for flash disk inside smartphone. But even lshw (gtk) doesn't show LLD. Thunar gives this when I just connect it (both HiSuite and LLD appear anyway, but LLD will be empty if not enabled at smartphone side). thunar-volman: Unsupported USB device type "(null)". thunar-volman: Unsupported USB device type "usb-storage". thunar-volman: Unsupported USB device type "usb". (besides spam like (thunar-volman:9224): dbind-WARNING **: 02:35:20.882: Couldn't register with accessibility bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. ) My guess is that it is due to thunar direct support for udev, which is not Places plugin case, so that it can see only mount points. (my guess, is that LLD is MTP-like, because it is opened without mounting).
